Encouraging Cyber Security Military Business

By Gregory White

As the world develops daily, so are crimes. Amongst the leading crimes in the world is cybercrime. Attacks are continually increasing and they are expected to grow even more. Worst case scenario is where people are not aware of its existence and hence ignorant to its happening. It has brought adverse effects on every aspect of life including security and business. Ending cyber security military business therefore involves a number of steps as a way of fighting this crime.

First, it should be made possible for information to be shared and not ordered. Allow people to know what it is and how it functions to allow them to gain trust in government and also deal with privacy issues. Information sharing should be set in a way it flows very fast between the government and the private sector. Information sharing is basic in scrutinizing threats and vulnerabilities.

Secondly, there should be an insurance for cyber. There are some private sector actors who cause damage to customers and leave the whole burden to them. The congress should find a way of directing the costs to the people who cause them but not the clients. For that matter, a legal responsibility system should be developed. The system should ensure that the manufacturers of items for sale pay for all damages caused due to their carelessness.

Third, self-protection is encouraged. Currently, the state does not have a clear law to guide somebody when establishing a self-protection mechanism. They should try as much as they can create it so that those who steal information and the ones who use it can be persecuted. All the bodies that are able to collect data on interferences should be doing it for the purpose of achieving freedom.

Information sharing should also be promoted between the public and private sectors and among the private sectors themselves. Information sharing helps prepare for potential threats as well as destroy the threat. It should however be deliberate with no coercion. In information sharing, cooperation is essential and it helps various organizations to work as a team and hence fight the crime together.

Endorse general awareness, education and training. Well most people may have heard about crimes. However, they are not so conversant with what it really is. Though it may be made public, people lack accurate, consistent and up-to-date information about it. The military therefore can play part in creating more of this awareness to the public.

Promote international collaboration. Cybercrime is already a major threat in the world. It is developing continually in every country. However, most countries are doing nothing about it. Therefore, it is only wise if security became a worldwide campaign to safeguard the future and to also prevent more breaches.

Last but not least, cybercrimes are very rampant. If we only left them to be a military business, not much progress will occur. Therefore the world should unite in fighting this crime and promoting security. More methods should also be put in place to help fight this way. If we want to safeguard our future, then we must start now.
