Contemporary Beeswax Candle Designs Make A Great Holiday Gift

By Lisa Mitchell

One reason why most people love the winter holidays is the lights. Although there is one day in summer where fireworks are common, indoor lights that relate to home are something different. Some people like to have candles going while sitting at the dinner table or cover their home with powered lights as a celebration of good cheer. However, lights can also make a nice gift, like contemporary beeswax candle designs that can be enjoyed all year.

Using functional artwork is one of the best ways to add a decorative touch and in some ways, it can make cleaning easier. A dark colored area rug with bright accents or trim can disguise most dirt or stains. Fancy bowls with a lid can be a nice place to hide keys or small items that get lost frequently.

There are many affordable gift sets that can be used in almost any room. These are great for those who have a sensitive respiratory system since this type of candle burns clean. Since the aroma is light, most find this to be rather pleasing. Instead of contrasting with the scents of the harvest, the slight sweetness may be complementary.

The great thing about the beeswax versions is that these burn clean. Another feature most users appreciate is the natural scent, which can be calming and not overly sweet or overpowering. Candles made with natural herbs and scents give off a subtle aroma that is ideal for most households.

If a person is not into wall decor, just choosing the right candle designs can add a nice touch to any room or space. Large pillars with one or three wicks look great on any bare coffee table. Other designs worth considering are the ball, cube, or spiral octagon. There are also many novelty shapes that may work for those who are a child at heart.

Although most beeswax versions come in shades of yellow, white, and brown, there are some ways to coordinate favorite colors. If a room has neutral or earth tone colors, candlestick holders in bold shades of blue, red, or purple can add a touch of vibrancy with a couple of matching accessories. Easy additions may include covers, pillows, or throws for furniture or the walls.

These can also be good for those who like to go out caroling in the night. This is one of those old time traditions that some families keep close to their heart. Even though this is not as common as it was years ago, there are some individuals who always want to spread cheer to others and teach their kids to do the same.

For those who may like wall sconces or holders but do not care to make holes in a wall, there are some alternatives. There are some small shelves that can be installed quickly with minimal damage. Another solution would be to use removable adhesive products that leave no marks on a wall.

If a person is looking for the perfect gift for that person that may be hard to please, going with something practical is always the best solution. There are many great items that are inexpensive but hold great value. Once the gift giver sees the light, they can create their own gift packages that work for each individual.
