You can also use sour cream, slices of cucumber, or even tomato slices, just to cool and refresh the affected area. Never rub the skin, simply rinse it and let it dry on the air.

Pure almond oil is also very good when it comes to repairing of damaged skin. Apply a small amount on the skin immediately after taking a shower, without wiping it first. Wear comfortable clothes and take aspirins every once in a while. If you have a good quality olive oil, preferably home made, it might also speed up the recovery.

Another important thing is to avoid any spicy, hot or heavy food. Try to stick to light, fresh foods for a day or two, drinking large amounts of natural water, and eating fruits and vegetables. You could also have your favorite nuts for a snack. It's important to provide fuel for your body, to ease the process of recovery. Minerals and vitamins will help regeneration.
