Why Have The Insider Threat Programs

By Jose Fisher

If you think that your enemies are all outside your firms, you might be wrong with that assumption. As a businessman, do not ever underestimate your employees, your investors, business partners, and stakeholders. They might look nothing to you. However, once those people take actions, they have the potential to drag your company down.

That is the reality behind this game. Of course, it is not just an ordinary game, though. Whatever happens on it, your wealth, fame, and even your extensive hard work from the past, all of it would be destroyed. You would lose all of them. Do not wait for that time starts to come. Do not just protect your company from external threats. Protect it from internal issues too. Have the insider threat programs. You should never allow someone to break your company apart. Your employees are the primary supporters of your operations.

It is not really alright to be suspicious with your employees and your stakeholders. After all, your suspicion can be strong enough to destroy your relationship with one another. Even so, do not be afraid. There are professional ways of doing that. As their boss, first of all, you need to set a line. Your employees should understand their place.

At the same time, as the head of the company, you must completely understand your roles and obligations. Whatever bad things that will happen inside your organization, you cannot just blame everything on your people. Do not ever think that way. This matter happens because of your incompetence from the first place.

It is always important for every organization to trust one another. At least, your employees must have that mindset in mind. In order to enhance and boost the productivity of your company, teamwork and cooperation are very important. As the owner, your job is to create that atmosphere. That is your duty.

Assure that he would never aid you. You can train and teach stupid people tricks to complete their duty. Surely, it might take time for them to adjust to their job, however, if they follow a good principle in life, assure that they will never betray you. Even if they do, since they are too bad in lying, assure that you could easily detect or notice their plans.

Of course, there is no guarantee that they would do that. That is always provided. Even so, remember that it is your job as an employer to restrict them from doing such a thing. If there is a chance that they commit some mistakes, remember to ask yourself if you cause part of it. That is pretty possible. You are not dealing with robots and machines.

You are talking about humans. They got emotions. Furthermore, they are considered as rational beings. Before they take some actions, they tried to think and reconsider various things first. Your treatment and your minimal salary might cause them to rebel against you. You see, unless you check your previous actions, you cannot really say that you are faultless.

Consider what would happen if that system is full of holes. As mentioned, all branch has its own specific rule. Just imagine it. You have an accounting officer inside your company. Of course, it does not mean that they work on your financial affairs, you will give them the power to keep and handle your cash. That mistake alone is enough to tear your company apart.
