More and more people and companies are using social media to introduce themselves to the world or show their current audience another side. There are many advantages to using this as a marketing tool, such as being creative and publishing immediately. For some who are new to online promotions, choosing the right content can be a challenge. Sometimes a business may upload their usual TV commercial, which may be fairly traditional but not very exciting. What they do not realize is the difference between the online viewer and the person that is comfortable in front of the television set. When making a video that can be seen around the globe, also keep cultural sensitivity in mind.

A brand that is not for general audiences may want to ensure that content is also within the guidelines established by viral websites. Marketing specialists generally work with clients to ensure that their voice is not lost and will engage viewers. While some may think this is an unnecessary expense, it can be a wise investment when trying to establish an online brand.
